THE ARBOR TEAM
Stan is a Managing Director at Arbor Advisors. He started his career working in corporate finance on Wall Street, then worked as a negotiation advisor with the consulting arm of The Harvard Negotiation Project. In this capacity he traveled to over 75 countries and worked with corporations and governments, negotiating transactions and mediating conflicts. Before co-founding Arbor, Stan was the General Manager of a Linux-based software company. He graduated from Brigham Young University and has an MBA from The Harvard Business School. He is a former Kellogg Fellow and a member of The Council on Foreign Relations. He is currently on the faculty of The Stanford School of Engineering where he teaches Negotiation and Sustainable Development.
Ray is a founder and Managing Director of Finance Technology Leverage LLC and CEO of CreekStone Capital Management, a Registered Investment Advisor. Prior to creating CreekStone Capital, he was a Partner at Palo Alto Investors, LLC, a hedge fund with >$1 billion under management. On behalf of three private equity funds over the past 20 years, Ray has principally led the investment of over $150 million across 25 private companies which have collectively reached public market valuations in excess of $6 billion. Ray currently serves on the board of directors of Reciprocity Labs. He was previously a member of the board of directors of a dozen early stage technology ventures including Limelight Networks (NASDAQ: LLNW) and Telephia (NYSE: NLSN). Ray earned a B.S. and M.S. in Aerospace Engineering with a concentration in Economics from MIT. He is the inventor of the air- breathing ion rocket engine, and has published research on the cause of aortic aneurysms. Ray is a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels and is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
Chris is a Senior Advisor at Arbor Advisors where he focuses on healthcare IT and medical device transactions. He began his career in engineering with AneuRx (acquired by Medtronic) and Bacchus Vascular (acquired by Covidien). Chris founded and managed Acumen Medical (acquired by Medtronic) and AUST Development, an independent design firm specializing in medical products. Chris completed medical school and post-graduate training at the Stanford School of Medicine where he has also served on the faculty. He is a former Stanford Biodesign Fellow and a clinician with board certification in Internal Medicine. Chris has authored over 30 US patents, and has both a BS and an MA from Stanford University.
Scott is a Senior Advisor at Arbor Advisors, where he focuses on software and Cleantech-related transactions. He has worked as both an advisor of, and investor in, technology companies for over 20 years. Scott founded New Energy Capital, one of the leading early investors in cleantech infrastructure, and has an extensive track record of investment in clean energy and renewable materials infrastructure projects. From 1999-2005, Mr. Brown was a member of the National Advisory Council of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Mr. Brown has served on the Boards of Directors of Ze-Gen, Next Step Living, and STR, Inc., as well as numerous energy related project company boards. Scott is also the past President of Conflict Management Group, and the past Associate Director of the Harvard Negotiation Project. In this capacity, Scott advised governments, corporations, and political groups throughout the world on complex negotiations and transactions. Scott graduated from Dartmouth College and has a JD from Harvard Law School.
Ben is an Advisor for Arbor Advisors. He spent the previous three years working for the firm in various capacities, leading and supporting deal teams with sourcing and executing M&A and Private Equity transactions on behalf of our clients. Prior to joining Arbor, Ben worked in the New York office of Proskauer Rose where he helped execute over $30 billion in aggregate transaction value across several industries, including multiple engagements with clients in the technology, media & telecommunications verticals. Prior to working at Proskauer, Ben worked at IMG, a global sports and entertainment agency, now owned by William Morris Endeavor and Silver Lake Partners. Ben joined IMG after exiting Talemon Advisors, a talent management company devoted to helping athletes, artists and entertainers monetize their brands; he was CEO and a co-founder. Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology and Society from Stanford University. He is currently pursuing an MBA in Finance, Entrepreneurship & Innovation from The Wharton School.
Ryan is a Senior Associate at Arbor Advisors, responsible for business development and execution of the firm’s M&A and capital raising transactions. Prior to joining Arbor, Ryan worked as a Business Development Consultant for the financial technology startup, Axial, where he helped financial and strategic buyers source Private Equity investment opportunities. Before Axial, he worked in the Asset Management Group at PNC Bank. Ryan graduated from Franklin & Marshall College with a major in Economics and a minor in History.
Greg is a Senior Associate at Arbor Advisors where he is responsible for executing and sourcing M&A and capital raising transactions. Prior to joining Arbor, Greg worked as a Strategy and Corporate Development Associate at YapStone, a global FinTech company that provides payment services for marketplaces and marketplace-style businesses. At YapStone, he was responsible for the development and execution of corporate strategy, strategic partnerships, capital raises, investments, and acquisitions. Prior to working at YapStone, Greg worked in the technology mergers & acquisitions team at Oppenheimer & Company where he executed global transactions in multiple sectors totaling in excess of $1.5 billion in value. Greg holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Society, Public Policy from Cornell University.
Arthur is an Associate at Arbor Advisors. In his role at Arbor, he is responsible for business development and executing M&A transactions and capital raises. Prior to joining Arbor, Arthur was a business development associate at Axial, a venture-backed financial technology company that connects entrepreneurs with investors and acquirers. Before Axial, he was an account executive at MakerBot, a leading 3D-printing company. Arthur holds a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Virginia, where he was a member of the Track & Field team.
Aaron is an Associate at Arbor Advisors. In his role at Arbor, he is responsible for business development and executing M&A transactions and capital raises. Prior to joining Arbor, Aaron was a Financial Analyst at ICONIQ Capital, a growing multi-family office, where he provided investment advisory services to entrepreneurs. Aaron holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Brigham Young University.
Anne-Lise is an analyst at Arbor Advisors. She is responsible for assisting the team with the business development and execution of successful M&A and capital raising transactions for entrepreneurs across technology verticals. Prior to joining Arbor Advisors, Anne-Lise worked as an investment banking analyst at Stifel where she assisted on the execution of capital raising transactions, and at Hercules Capital, where she worked as a deal-team analyst covering the technology industry.
Arpit is an Analyst at Arbor Advisors. He is responsible for assisting the team with business development and execution of successful M&A and capital raising transactions for entrepreneurs across technology verticals. Before joining Arbor Advisors, Arpit worked as an Analyst for American Dental Partners in their Corporate Development department where he supported the team with M&A processes, potential candidate valuations, due diligence, and other ad-hoc projects.
Kavita is an Analyst at Arbor Advisors. She is responsible for assisting the team with business development and execution of successful M&A and capital raising transactions for entrepreneurs across technology verticals. Prior to joining Arbor Advisors, Kavita worked at Johnson & Johnson supporting accounting and financial operations. She also has experience working for ClearEdge Partners, a consulting firm that advises companies on IT pricing strategy.
Kevin is an Analyst at Arbor Advisors. He is responsible for assisting the team with business development and the execution of M&A and capital raise transactions for entrepreneurs. Prior to joining Arbor, Kevin was the Co-Founder of Outcome Tutoring, an online platform that facilitates peer-to-peer tutoring on college campuses. There, he led business strategy, sales, and marketing initiatives.
Theodor is an Analyst at Arbor Advisors where he is responsible for assisting the team with business development and the execution of M&A and capital raise transactions. Prior to joining Arbor, Theodor worked with Protector Insurance on the underwriting team where he focused on risk assessing, product performance and managed insurance portfolios.
Yea is an Analyst at Arbor Advisors and is responsible for business development and executing successful M&A and capital raising transactions. Prior to joining Arbor, Yea gained experience in private equity and M&A at a Los Angeles investment bank, working with the team focused on technology and gaming.
Tachir is the Operations Manager at Arbor Advisors, where he manages the operations of the company. Prior to joining the Arbor team, Tachir’s experience included working in Legal, Marketing, Finance for YBR Advisors, an affiliate of LPL Financial Services. He has also worked in mobile advertising and gaming at start-ups, Mobileplay & Greystripe. He holds a B.A. in International Management from the IMI University in Lucerne, Switzerland. He is a native of Switzerland.
